How to Freeze Tiramisu

Equipment

Ingredients

  • Tiramisu

Instructions

  • Remove cocoa solids or don't add them if making it homemade.
    Note: if the cocoa is too difficult to remove, it's ok to leave. Just be aware it will be a little soggy at defrosting.
  • Decide what size portions you will need when thawed, and cut it into that size.
  • Tear off a sheet of plastic wrap big enough to fully cover each portion.
  • Place one piece of tiramisu in the center of the sheet of plastic wrap and secure it around it.
  • Repeat wrapping for all slices
  • Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil big enough to fully cover each portion.
  • Place one piece of plastic wrapped tiramisu in the center of the aluminum foil and secure it around it.
  • Repeat wrapping for all slices.
  • Place the wrapped slices into a freezer bag or freezer safe container.
  • Secure the lid on the container. If using a bag, press any air out then zip it shut.
  • Mark the date on the bag or container and place it into the freezer.

Notes

Store bought or Homemade:  You can freeze either store-bought or homemade tiramisu with these instructions.
Fresh is best:  make sure to freeze it as soon as possible so that it is fresh and at maximum quality.
Don't smash it:  tiramisu is relatively soft, so make sure it doesn't get crushed in your freezer especially before it is all the way frozen.
