Equipment

  • airtight container
  • marker or pen
  • freezer bags

Ingredients

  • Pulled Pork with or without sauce

Instructions

  • Thoroughly cool before getting started.
  • Portion it out into the amounts you will want to use once defrosted.
  • Scoop your portions into individual freezer bags or freezer safe containers.
  • Put the lid on the top of the container. Or, zip your bag shut once you have squeezed any air out of it.
  • Label the bag or container with the date and stick it in the freezer.

Notes

Cool completely: make sure the pulled pork is totally cooled before starting to package it up.  This will prevent any condensation and also ensure your overall freezer temperature isn't affected.
Portion properly: decide what size portions you will want to use when it is thawed so that you can package it accordingly.  This allows you to only defrost the amount you want at a time.
Air tight: the less air in the package, the longer the quality will stay high.  So, ensure you have pressed any air out of a freezer bag.
