3 Ingredient Broccoli Cheese Casserole

3 ingredient broccoli cheese casserole is an easy, cozy side dish that delivers rich, cheesy flavor with almost no work. Made with just broccoli, cheddar, and cream, it shows that simple ingredients can still make a delicious and satisfying casserole.

Ingredients

  • Broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Freshly shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Make this broccoli cheese casserole by following these straightforward steps.

Step one: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Spray 6-7 4oz ramekins with non-stick spray.  Set aside.

Step two: If using fresh broccoli, rinse well and drain. Trim the stems and chop florets into one-inch pieces.

Step three: Place fresh or frozen broccoli in a large bowl and microwave for 3 minutes.

Step four: Add the heavy cream and half of the shredded cheese to the bowl. Toss until the broccoli is coated.

Step five: Spoon the mixture into the prepared ramekins, filling just below the rim.

Step six: Top with the remaining shredded cheese.

Step seven: Set the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.

Hint: Best served warm.

Storage

Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. While it can be frozen for up to a year, the ramekins take up quite a bit of freezer space.
